How To Get the Most Out of a Rewards/Loyalty Programs

Collect as much points as possible

Many stores have started to implement a points system where with each purchase you make in the store you receive “points”. The more points you collect the more rewards you get in return.

These rewards can be in the form of discounts on future purchases, gift items, or credit that you spend in the store. These programs are great for stores as they attract clients and thus increases the stores’ profits but are they really good for you as the customer?

Join Faydety as we explore how you can get the most of the rewards program of your choice.

Choose the stores that you frequent regularly

When you choose which rewards program to join choose a store that you go to a lot because if you choose stores you rarely buy from then there is no point in joining a program that depends on how much you spend at the store.

A good example would be the supermarket, because this is the place most of us frequent periodically, as such you would be able to collect more points faster.

Commit to buying from specific stores

Try not to buy from stores other than those where you are enrolled in their loyalty program, as this will reduce your chances of benefiting from collecting points.

Have the whole family use the same account

Don't register every family member with separate rewards program accounts. Rather it is better to have one account for the whole family to use when making purchases. This way you can collect more points faster.

“Try not to buy from stores other than those where you are enrolled in their loyalty program, as this will reduce your chances of benefiting from collecting points.

Stay away from programs where points have a validity/expiration date

Some programs have validity or expiration dates on points; meaning that if you don’t use the points during a year for example they will be canceled from your balance.

This means you don’t benefit from the points you collected by spending money in the first place, and it also forces you to use the points even if you don’t need anything at the time.
